| The Liberation treatment via PrescanStarting from 21 June 2010 Prescan now offers the CCSVI treatment (Liberation Treatment) in cooperation with the Gefäβzentrum Emsland (Emsland Vascular Centre), which is part of the St. Bonifatius Hospitals. The treatment is performed according to the Zamboni protocol, by vascular surgeons who are rated among the top 10 in Germany.

View the publication | Prescan also provides an extensive after care process, consisting of a team of specialized vascular surgeons, neurologists, cardiologists and radiologists. After your treatment you will be under the care and supervision of our specialists for a period of one year, in connection with an extensive worldwide study of CCSVI treatment (Liberation Treatment). The control check-ups will be done 3, 6 and 12 months after the treatment. If the researchers find it necessary an extra check up is possible one year after your treatment. The CCSVI-treatment:The duration of the treatment is three days. The program is as follows: Day 1: - Neurological baseline (consultation and examination)
- Cardiological preliminary examination (screening)
- Consultation with anaesthesiologist
- Preliminary consultation with the vascular surgeon
Day 2: - Preliminary consultation with the doctor
- CT scan (128 slices)
- An additional supplementary examination (MRV and Echo-Doppler), is necessary if you are eligible for the treatment.
- Operative procedure (angioplasty or stent)
Day 3: - Consultation with the neurologist
- Final consultation with the vascular surgeon

Your stay includes breakfast and dinner. For a small surcharge (€ 75,-) your partner can overnight in the same room. Night nursing can be arranged at your request. The total costs of the CCSVI treatment, including stay over, amount to € 5995,- 1 year follow up check-ups with respect to research studies. If necessary and medically justifiable a stent will be inserted. The procedure is carried out in the Gefäßzentrums Emsland (Emsland Vascular Centre), which is part of the St. Bonifatius Hospitals in Lingen and one of the few fully certified vascular clinics in Germany. The clinic is fully accessible for wheel chair users.
