The results are reviewed by medical specialists and discussed with you in the context of your overall health profile.

Q: What Is the Difference Between the Women’s Health Program and a Standard Health Check?

Many standard health checks are not specifically tailored to female physiology. The Women’s Health Program takes hormonal influences and different life stages into account, as these can affect how symptoms develop and how health risks present themselves.

Q: Is the Program only for women with symptoms?

No. The program is specifically designed for women who want preventive insight into their health, even if they are not currently experiencing any symptoms.

Q: Does the program also assess hormonal health?

Within the women's health program, attention is given to hormonal factors. These are included as part of the blood tests and are taken into account when assessing overall health.Hormonal changes can influence processes such as energy levels, metabolism, and fat distribution.

Q: Can this program help with symptoms related to menopause or the menstrual cycle?

The program is not intended to provide treatment, but it can offer insights into factors that may be associated with symptoms related to the menstrual cycle or menopause. Based on these findings, further evaluation or advice can be discussed if relevant.

Q: How are the results assessed?

The results are assessed exclusively by BIG-registered medical specialists. The findings are discussed with you in detail, with ample opportunity for explanation and to ask any questions you may have.

Q: What happens if abnormalities are found?

If findings are identified that warrant further evaluation, these will be discussed with you. If necessary, you may be advised to consult your general practitioner or a medical specialist for further assessment.

Q: Is a referral from your general practitioner required?

No, you can participate in the program without a referral.

Q: How do I choose the right program?

Within the women's health program, several assessments are available, including body MRI and Lower abdomen MRI.
