It provides a snapshot that you can work with; whether the results are favorable or less so, you know where you stand.

Annika decided to participate in the Women's Health program because she wanted to gain more insight into her overall health. She is not only looking at her physical health, but rather the complete picture.

"They often say it's a snapshot. And of course, it is. But it's a snapshot you can use. If there are results that may be less favorable, you can act on that. And if they are favorable, you know that too. Then you can build on it. I believe it's not just physical; I like to view health holistically. But this part is also important. And it's very concrete."

Reliable information

According to Annika, there is currently a lot of focus on women's health. At the same time, she notices that it can sometimes be challenging to distinguish reliable information from misinformation.

"Women's health specifically; there's more and more information coming out. I think people are becoming more engaged with it. But there's also a lot of misinformation out there. I believe you should go to the specialists and get the information you need."

Confirmation

The examination not only gave Annika insight but also confirmation.

"I got some guidance from the blood examination. Not dramatic things, but things I can work with. And mainly, it gave me confidence in the way I was handling things."

You think you're doing well health-wise, and then you receive confirmation that you are. And that's really nice.

One of the aspects that pleasantly surprised her was the collaboration between the different specialists.

"They all look at the same file together. This way, they can also examine together. For example, I visited the cardiologist, who also looked at certain blood values. And they actually all did this."

The quick availability of results also made a big difference, according to her.

"You don't have to wait one or two weeks for a result. This can be quite stressful, while it might not be necessary at all."

A full picture

With examinations, results, and consultations coming together in one day, she went home with a complete picture of her health.

"I found it really pleasant today because it is all very inclusive. Everything ultimately comes together, and you leave with a comprehensive overview. And not with lingering questions."

Although it's a lot of information in one day, Annika sees that as an advantage.

"I really like that the doctors overlap with each other. They extract their own insights, but also make connections with other facets. It's a lot of information at once, but also convenient. Then you can link everything together."

The most important lesson she took away from the day is that health requires personal management.

I have learned that you must take matters into your own hands. Also in this area. The program is interesting for everyone. Whether you have symptoms or not, you never know where improvement might be needed.
