Which equipment is used during a dermatological examination?

At Prescan, the dermatological examination is performed using the FotoFinder Vexia, a system used for skin imaging. The examination begins with a visual inspection, during which the dermatologist maps out any skin conditions using video dermatoscopy.

The device is equipped with a camera that captures images in high resolution, both at macro and microscopic levels. These images are used to analyze any skin conditions. The camera can operate with or without skin contact and provides both polarized and non-polarized images, offering more insight into vascular structures and skin patterns.
