What is a body scan?
A body scan—also known as a health check or total body scan—is a form of preventive medical examination. The aim of preventive medical testing is to identify risk factors and (potential) conditions. Prescan makes preventive medical examinations accessible to everyone—regardless of age—who wants insight into their own body and health. Preventive medical testing can be performed, among other ways, through a body scan consisting of five targeted MRI scans of the skull & brain, neck vessels, chest, upper abdomen, and lower abdomen. Not all risk factors are visible on an MRI scan. That is why we also offer comprehensive examination programs including cardiological, dermatological, and laboratory tests. All examinations are assessed by medical specialists. You receive your results immediately, and your MRI images are always accessible and easy to share. This way, you gain immediate insight into your health.
Quality & certifications
Our laboratories meet the highest quality standards set by the CCKL Foundation (Coordination Commission for the Promotion of Quality Control in Laboratory Research) in the Netherlands.
In addition, Prescan’s quality and procedures are audited annually by various certification bodies. We are ISO 9001 certified and hold the ZKN quality mark (Independent Clinics Netherlands). Our ISO and ZKN certifications apply to the locations in Baarn and the head office in Hengelo. The other Dutch clinics Prescan collaborates with are independently certified. ZKN is a national certification. Clinics in Germany are inspected locally, have their own certifications, and meet the strictest requirements and quality standards.
