Technical description

Laboratory protocol

The laboratory testing at Prescan is conducted according to a standardised protocol. The blood is drawn intravenously, meaning that the blood is taken from a vein, usually in the arm. The collected blood is placed into a tube containing an anticoagulant (such as EDTA).

This process is carried out by experienced medical assistants, who ensure that the blood draw is performed safely, hygienically, and as comfortably as possible.

The urine analysis is conducted using a sample provided by the client, measuring several important parameters. The tests performed during the laboratory investigation include:
